With classic NBC comedies like Parks and Recreation and Cheers, to brand new exclusives like Brave New World and the reunion episode of 30 Rock, there’s plenty to get excited about with Peacock. If you’d like to know how to get your hands on Peacock without paying a penny, then keep on reading. We also have similar guides for getting Disney+ and HBO Max for free.
Use the free tier of Peacock
The good news is that NBC Peacock actually comes with a free tier. Peacock Free allows users to catch-up on new seasons of broadcast NBC shows, numerous classic series, movies and a selected number of the new Peacock exclusive originals. The downsides of this tier is that it’s ad-supported, and that Peacock Premium has a much bigger amount of content that the free tier does. Fortunately, there are still ways to get hold of Peacock Premium for free as well. You can sign up for both the free and premium versions of the service over on the Peacock website.
Get a free trial of Peacock Premium
The easiest way for everyone to get hold of Peacock Premium for free is to use a seven-day free trial. All you have to do is sign up for an account by inputting your email address and password, get the use out of your free week and cancel your subscription before you are billed. You can cancel your account with Peacock by doing the following:
Login to your Peacock account on your browserClick on the ‘Account’ icon in the top right-hand cornerClick on ‘Change Plan’ under the ‘Your Plan’ sectionChange to Peacock Free
Peacock Premium has two versions: ad-supported and ad-free. Both tiers will include everything in the free version, as well as next-day access to ongoing seasons of returning shows, all Peacock original episodes and early access to talk shows. Peacock Premium costs $4.99 (around £3.80) per month for the ad-supported version, and $9.99 (around £7.60) per month for the ad-free version. If you are based in the UK, here’s how we suspect you’ll be able to watch Peacock through using a VPN.
Use your Android device to get Peacock Premium for free
If you have an Android device or Android TV device, then you should be eligible to get a big three month trial for Peacock Premium. As with the seven-day free trial, you’ll have to cancel before the billing date to avoid being charged, which will be on 15 October 2020.
Check with your cable provider if you get Peacock Premium for free
If you’re a Comcast or Cox cable TV subscriber in the US, then you should be entitled to get NBC Peacock Premium bundled in with your current subscription. Check to see if your service is up-to-date and contact your provider if you’re unsure on whether you qualify or not.
